SAVE A CAT

DONATE NOW!

We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit no-kill cat shelter and adoption center in Silverton dedicated to rescuing cats and finding forever homes for homeless felines in our community. Since our founding in 1990, we have been dedicated to the health, welfare, and comfort of the cats and kittens that come through our door. We can house and care for 150 cats in our facility and we find homes for about 175 cats per year.

Our shelter is staffed by volunteers. Operating funds are provided

through memberships, donations,  and fundraising events.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are essential to the ongoing operations of the shelter. There are no “insignificant” jobs—all jobs are important to our success. We thoroughly clean the shelter daily and all floors are swept and mopped. In addition to all litter boxes and cages being cleaned, the food and water dishes and hard toys are cleaned and disinfected. All blankets, towels, and soft toys are laundered daily. Of course, the cats all need to be fed and given fresh water, some need daily medication, and all of them need attention.

There are jobs that don’t require cleaning or feeding, such as fundraising, being an adoption counselor, and helping write grant proposals.  We really need assistance in these areas.

If you are interested in volunteering, please call us at 513-984-6369. You'll usually get the voicemail, but please leave a message and your call will be returned.

Feature Cats
Ignatz.JPG
Ignatz:
A little shier than his brother Tico, Ignatz is a playful all black cat who was born last summer. He loves any toy that resembles a bird and will play with the laser pointer for hours. Come stop by and visit Ignatz and Tico in Den #1!

Tico:

A loving, sweet lap cat with a big drive to play, Tico would make a great addition to any home. Consider adopting him with his slightly shier brother, Ignatz. Tico loves playing with toys that contain feathers or mimic prey - he is a true hunter!
